Please note: Caty is taking a break from dogsitting as of April 2021. Check out Rover.com to find other great dogsitters available in Indianapolis.

Caty Green is a journalist by trade, but right alongside that passion for storytelling lies a lifelong love of dogs. After years of caring for her parents’ and friends’ dogs on a casual basis, Caty started booking clients through Rover in 2016 while living in Washington, D.C. She continued housesitting and boarding dogs while living in Brooklyn and in Fountain Square on the southeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Past clients have appreciated that Caty is flexible, responsible, intuitive when it comes to dogs’ needs, friendly, and communicative. Read more in the TESTIMONIALS section of this site, and scroll down for photos of dogs who’ve thrived under Caty’s care in recent months.

Services

When you find the service you need, head to BOOKING to get in touch.

Boarding* — $25/day

Drop off your dog to stay in Caty’s comfortable one-bedroom apartment in Fountain Square. Dogs will receive 3+ daily walks around the neighborhood, have free rein to lounge on the couch or bed, and will have company throughout the day. Caty will set up time for a meet & greet, so you can see the space and your dog can sniff around. On the day of drop-off, just bring along your dog’s food, any necessary medications, and a couple toys or blankets that make your dog feel comfortable.

*Please note that Caty’s dog, Butter, a dog- and people-friendly yellow lab, will also be present, so boarding is best for other dog-friendly dogs. If your dog is reactive toward other animals, booking Caty to housesit (sans Butter) is your best bet.

HouseSitting — $30/day

Is your pup more comfortable staying at home? No problem! Caty is available to travel. As with boarding clients, Caty will set up time for a meet & greet, time permitting, so you can ensure you’ll be comfortable having her stay over. During that conversation, you can give her the rundown on your dog’s routine, including food, medications, activity level, and walking schedule.

$17/day per additional dog.

Check-in — $20

Within 10-mile radius of Fountain Square, 46203.
If you have a long workday or otherwise can’t get home to see your dog, Caty is available for morning, mid-day, or evening check-ins to refresh your dog’s water and food, let them outside for some fresh air and a pee, and take a quick stroll if exercise is a priority for your pup.

$5 per additional dog (or cat).

Training Walk — $25

Within 10-mile radius of Fountain Square, 46203.

If you need assistance keeping up with your puppy or adult dog’s training, Caty can help! She’ll work with your dog on sit, stay, down, “watch me,” “leave it,” and extinguishing problematic reactions to stimuli like squirrels or other dogs. Repetition and reinforcement are key for helping these obedience learnings sink in.

Testimonials

Here’s what past clients have said after leaving their dog with Caty.

This was our first time having Caty watch our boy and she was very responsive, patient and understanding with all the ‘quirks’ that he has. She kept us posted daily with photos and overviews of their day so we were able to know he was being well cared for. We can’t thank her enough for taking such great care of him while we were out of town. Caty is wonderful and we can’t thank her enough for caring for our dog Walter!

Caty was amazing! Would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a safe, happy environment for their dog! Mine was only 10 weeks and very high maintenance and she was wonderful with him and sent pictures often!! Very pleased!!! Will definitely look to Caty for dog boarding/sitting in the future!
— Debbi S., 10/21/2019
Caty was amazing! She was so responsive and sent pictures of Tera daily. Tera absolutely loved her stay and we really appreciated how flexible Caty was with pickup and drop off.

Full disclosure, I have been friends with Caty for many years. I don’t trust most of my closest relatives with my two dogs. They are big, needy, and wildly neurotic and they absolutely get it from me. So when I say that Caty is the absolute best dog sitter I have ever used, trust that she earned that praise. With several updates a day and no shortage of adorable pics of my dogs snuggling up to each other, I consistently feel like my pups are being cared for by the best in the industry. She is calm, consistent, unbelievably pleasant, and she didn’t freak out my neighbors (more than I can say). My hell hounds like Caty more than they have ever liked me. Look no further because if you are here, you have found your next dog sitter.

Caty is amazing! She is flexible, communicative, and above all incredible with dogs. My dog loved her and seemed happy and content while staying with Caty. I will definitely be asking her to dog sit again!

Caty was awesome. Just as a person, she’s really kind and gentle and bubbly and fun. Our dogs are both seniors and one is a little more high maintenance than the other, and she was just perfect and patient with them. She went above and beyond making sure they were good.
